Inter produced a dominant display to thrash Roma 5-2 at San Siro, sending a strong message in the Serie A title race with an emphatic attacking performance.
The Nerazzurri got off to a flying start, taking the lead after just one minute. Marcus Thuram burst past Evan Ndicka and squared the ball for Lautaro Martínez, who tapped in from close range to make it 1-0.
Roma responded and created danger through Donyell Malen, forcing a brilliant save from Yann Sommer. Their persistence paid off just before halftime when Gianluca Mancini rose to head home from a cross, leveling the score at 1-1.
However, Inter struck back immediately. Deep into first-half stoppage time, Hakan Çalhanoğlu unleashed a stunning long-range effort to restore the lead and shift momentum firmly in Inter’s favor.
