Pisa 0-1 Torino: Adams Comes Off the Bench to Secure Late Winner

A cagey contest is decided in the final minutes as Torino take a major step toward safety on Matchday 31.

Torino claimed a crucial 1-0 away victory over Pisa, with substitute Che Adams scoring the decisive goal late in the match to hand the Granata three vital points in their push for survival.

The first half offered very little in terms of goalmouth action, with both sides struggling to create clear chances. Torino’s most active player early on was Gvidas Gineitis, who tested Semper with a long-range free kick before sending another effort just wide. Pisa responded through Michel Aebischer, but his shot from distance failed to trouble the goalkeeper.

After the break, the tempo increased slightly. Pisa came close with a promising move led by Aebischer, who attempted to set up Moreo inside the box, but the pass narrowly evaded its target.

The best chance of the match arrived in the 58th minute when Tramoni capitalized on a defensive mistake and broke forward, squaring the ball across goal. However, the pass was overhit, denying Stojilkovic a simple finish into an empty net.

Torino continued to rely on long-range efforts, with Gineitis again going close, but the breakthrough finally came in the 80th minute. Marcus Pedersen delivered a first-time cross into the box, where Adams slid in at the far post to convert and give Torino the lead.

Pisa pushed for an equalizer in stoppage time, but Tramoni’s final attempt from distance lacked precision and was comfortably saved by Paleari.

The result gives Torino a significant boost in the standings, while Pisa are left to regret missed opportunities in a tightly contested match.
