Bologna 0-2 Lazio: Taylor Brace and Motta Penalty Save Seal Away Win

Motta denies Orsolini from the spot before Taylor’s late double gives Lazio a crucial victory on Serie A Matchday 30.

Lazio continued their strong run of form with a 2–0 away win over Bologna at the Dall’Ara, overtaking their opponents in the standings thanks to a decisive late performance.

After a balanced match for much of the game, Kenneth Taylor emerged as the difference-maker, scoring twice in the final stages to hand Maurizio Sarri’s side another important victory.

The match began with both teams struggling to create clear chances. Bologna, still feeling the effects of their Europa League commitments, lacked sharpness and intensity, while Lazio remained organized and patient.

The first major turning point came with the score still at 0–0. Bologna were awarded a penalty after a foul by Lazio goalkeeper Motta on Santiago Castro. Riccardo Orsolini stepped up, but Motta redeemed himself with a crucial save, keeping the game level.

Earlier in the first half, Nikola Moro had come closest to scoring for Bologna, striking the crossbar with a powerful effort.

As the game progressed, Lazio grew in confidence while Bologna struggled to find rhythm. The breakthrough finally arrived in the 72nd minute. Taylor found space at the edge of the area and finished clinically to give Lazio the lead.

Just ten minutes later, the Dutch midfielder struck again. Capitalizing on defensive disorganization, Taylor completed his brace and effectively sealed the match.

Bologna attempted to react but lacked the energy and precision needed to threaten Lazio’s defense, which remained solid throughout.

The result sees Lazio leapfrog Bologna in the standings and move into eighth place, while the Rossoblù are left to regroup after another disappointing performance following their European outing.
