Juventus have moved decisively in the final hours of the transfer window. The Bianconeri have completed a deal for Jeremie Boga, who arrived in Turin on Sunday morning and is currently undergoing medical tests at the JMedical before signing his contract.
The former Sassuolo winger joins from Nice on a loan deal, giving Juventus immediate cover in wide attacking areas. Boga is expected to fill the role of vice Kenan Yildiz, adding depth and unpredictability to Luciano Spalletti’s attacking rotation.
With moves for Federico Chiesa (now at Liverpool) and Daniel Maldini (recently signed by Lazio) no longer viable, Juventus acted quickly to secure a profile already well adapted to Serie A. Boga’s dribbling, acceleration, and familiarity with Italian football were key factors behind the late-night breakthrough.
A Tactical Addition, Not the Final Piece
Boga’s arrival strengthens the squad, but Juventus’ work in the market may not be finished. Spalletti continues to wait for a center-forward, with Randal Kolo Muani remaining the priority target.
Contacts with Tottenham Hotspur have continued, but the situation remains complicated. Spurs are reluctant to release the French striker early, as he is currently on loan in London from Paris Saint-Germain. Despite pressure from Juventus and sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli, Tottenham have so far shown little flexibility.
Time is running out. With the window closing on Monday evening, Juventus are aware that the operation is increasingly uphill. An additional attempt is expected in the coming hours, but the club is also prepared for the possibility that no striker arrives before the deadline.
Kolo Muani or Nothing
Internally, the Juventus line is clear: either Kolo Muani, or no move at all. Other names — including Joshua Zirkzee of Manchester United — remain on the radar, but conviction around alternative options is limited.
If no breakthrough occurs, Juventus could postpone the search for Dusan Vlahović’s long-term successor until the summer. The Serbian striker is currently sidelined with injury and out until mid-March, while his contract situation continues to fuel speculation about the future.
For now, though, Juventus can tick one box. Boga is in Turin, medicals are underway, and a new attacking weapon is ready to be added — a late blitz that gives Spalletti another option as the season enters its decisive phase.
