Cremonese 0–2 Inter: Lautaro Strikes Again as Nerazzurri Cruise at the Top

Lautaro Martínez and Zielinski score before halftime to secure Inter’s fourth straight league win, as Cremonese waste their best chances.

Inter continued their commanding run at the top of Serie A with a routine 2–0 away victory over Cremonese. Goals from Lautaro Martínez and Piotr Zielinski in the first half were all Cristian Chivu’s side needed, before controlling proceedings with maturity after the break.

Inter started assertively and created their first opening in the 7th minute, when Pio Esposito headed straight at Audero. Shortly after, Sucic tried his luck from distance, firing over. The breakthrough arrived in the 16th minute: from a perfectly delivered corner by Dimarco, Lautaro was left unmarked and rose highest to power home his 13th league goal of the season.

Cremonese responded immediately and came close to equalizing, again from a corner. Ceccherini found the ball at his feet inside the box but failed to hit the target. Nicola’s side looked most dangerous on the counterattack, with Jamie Vardy breaking through on goal, only to miscontrol at the crucial moment and waste a golden opportunity one-on-one with Sommer.

Inter punished the missed chance with a second goal. In the 31st minute, Lautaro recovered possession high up the pitch and fed Zielinski, whose long-range effort slipped past Audero, who could have done better. Before halftime, Cremonese threatened again through Bonazzoli, but Sommer reacted well to keep the two-goal cushion intact.

Early in the second half, Sommer was again alert, denying Zerbin’s diagonal shot. Inter nearly made it 3–0 when Thuram narrowly missed a header from Bastoni’s cross. Cremonese’s best chance of the half fell once more to Zerbin, whose low strike hit the post with minutes remaining.

In stoppage time, Dimarco went close himself before Floriani Mussolini briefly threatened at the other end, but without real danger. The match ended 2–0, confirming Inter’s authority and consistency, while Cremonese slipped to a second consecutive defeat.
