Lazio come from behind against Pisa at the Olimpico, with Dele-Bashiru and Pedro sealing victory in the Spanish veteran’s final appearance for the club
Lazio closed out their Serie A season with a comeback victory over Pisa at the Stadio Olimpico, winning 2-1 on an emotional night marked by Pedro’s final appearance in a Biancocelesti shirt.
The visitors stunned the home crowd midway through the first half when Michel Aebischer delivered a precise cross into the box and Stefano Moreo rose highest to head Pisa into the lead in the 23rd minute.
Pisa looked dangerous on the counter and nearly doubled their advantage shortly afterward, but Lazio goalkeeper Furlanetto produced an excellent save to deny Angori and keep the hosts within reach.
That stop proved crucial as Lazio responded before halftime with two quick goals.
The equalizer arrived in the 33rd minute through Dele-Bashiru, who finished confidently after a brilliant attacking move initiated by Belahyane. The midfielder continued his impressive form with a composed finish that shifted the momentum firmly in Lazio’s favor.
Just two minutes later, the Olimpico witnessed the moment everyone had been waiting for.
Pedro combined beautifully with Noslin after receiving the ball from Basic and calmly slotted a precise finish into the corner to complete the turnaround. The veteran Spanish forward celebrated emotionally after scoring what proved to be the winning goal in his farewell appearance for Lazio.
The second half lacked the same intensity, but Lazio controlled possession and limited Pisa’s chances as they comfortably saw out the victory in front of their home supporters.
The result allows Lazio to finish their campaign on a positive note, while Pisa showed flashes of quality despite leaving Rome empty-handed.
