Matchday 35 triumph secures Inter’s 21st Serie A crown, with Lautaro returning to inspire celebrations at San Siro
Inter are officially Serie A champions. A 2-0 win over Parma on Matchday 35 secured the Nerazzurri’s 21st Scudetto, capping off a dominant season in front of a jubilant San Siro crowd.
Needing just one point to mathematically clinch the title, Inter went a step further and claimed all three thanks to decisive contributions from Marcus Thuram and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
Before kickoff, there was an emotional tribute to Alex Zanardi, honored with a minute of silence. Once the match began, however, Inter focused on finishing the job.
The first half offered limited excitement, aside from a crossbar hit by Nicolò Barella. The breakthrough came deep into stoppage time, when Thuram found the net with a composed finish—another crucial goal in his strong end to the season.
The second half brought more good news for Inter fans as Lautaro Martínez made his return from injury to a standing ovation. The Argentine striker quickly made an impact, providing the assist for Mkhitaryan’s goal in the 80th minute, which sealed the victory and sparked early celebrations in the stands.
Despite a spirited first-half effort from Parma—particularly through Strefezza—the visitors struggled to keep up after the break and failed to seriously threaten Yann Sommer’s goal.
The final whistle confirmed what had long seemed inevitable: Inter are champions of Italy once again, with their consistency and depth proving decisive throughout the campaign.
