First Half: Pinamonti and Berardi Take Control
The hosts needed less than 45 minutes to settle the contest. The opener came from Andrea Pinamonti, who finished clinically after a clever layoff, marking his second consecutive goal in the league.
Shortly before halftime, it became the Domenico Berardi show. The captain won a penalty following an ill-timed challenge by Niasse. Although Montipò saved his initial effort, Berardi reacted quickest to fire home the rebound and double the lead.

Verona’s afternoon went from bad to worse when Al-Musrati was sent off, compounding an already dismal display. The attacking duo of Bowie and Sarr rarely threatened, leaving Montipò—despite saving a penalty—as the visitors’ standout performer.
SASSUOLO’s attacking trio of Berardi, Pinamonti, and Laurienté proved too sharp and cohesive, delivering a statement victory in front of their home fans.
