SASSUOLO 3-0 HELLAS VERONA: Berardi Inspires as Neroverdi Cruise at the Mapei

Pinamonti opens the scoring, Berardi dominates with a brace after a missed penalty, and Laurienté pulls the strings as SASSUOLO overpower HELLAS VERONA.

Serie A Matchday 26 kicked off with a commanding performance from Sassuolo, who brushed aside Hellas Verona 3-0 at the Mapei Stadium.

It was Sassuolo’s second straight win—and their fourth in five matches—lifting them to 35 points and, at least temporarily, into eighth place. For HELLAS VERONA, the crisis deepens, as they remain bottom of the table.

First Half: Pinamonti and Berardi Take Control

The hosts needed less than 45 minutes to settle the contest. The opener came from Andrea Pinamonti, who finished clinically after a clever layoff, marking his second consecutive goal in the league.

Shortly before halftime, it became the Domenico Berardi show. The captain won a penalty following an ill-timed challenge by Niasse. Although Montipò saved his initial effort, Berardi reacted quickest to fire home the rebound and double the lead.

Second Half: Captain’s Statement

HELLAS VERONA offered little resistance after the break, and Sassuolo continued to dictate the tempo. On 62 minutes, Berardi sealed the result with his second of the night. Released into space by Armand Laurienté, he calmly slotted past Montipò to make it 3-0.

Verona’s afternoon went from bad to worse when Al-Musrati was sent off, compounding an already dismal display. The attacking duo of Bowie and Sarr rarely threatened, leaving Montipò—despite saving a penalty—as the visitors’ standout performer.

SASSUOLO’s attacking trio of Berardi, Pinamonti, and Laurienté proved too sharp and cohesive, delivering a statement victory in front of their home fans.
