Venturino Arrives in Rome: Medicals and Contract Signing Up Next: Medicals and Contract Signing Up Next

The 2006-born midfielder joins Roma on loan as Gasperini welcomes a new young option

Lorenzo Venturino has officially arrived in Rome, marking the final steps of his move to AS Roma. The 19-year-old midfielder landed in the capital this morning and is set to undergo his medical examinations before completing the formalities of his transfer to Trigoria.

Venturino joins Roma on a loan deal that includes an option to buy, stepping into the squad following Tommaso Baldanzi’s departure to Genoa. Once the paperwork is finalized, he will immediately place himself at the disposal of head coach Gian Piero Gasperini.

Speaking briefly upon arrival, Venturino expressed excitement about the challenge ahead. He admitted he has yet to speak directly with Gasperini but emphasized his enthusiasm for starting a new chapter at one of Italy’s most demanding clubs.

Despite his young age, Venturino already brings top-flight experience. This season, he featured five times for Genoa, making appearances in both Serie A and the Coppa Italia. Last year, he left an early mark at senior level with six league appearances and two goals, both scored on the final matchday away at Bologna.

Roma see Venturino as a developmental signing with immediate upside — a player to be shaped within Gasperini’s system while adding depth and energy to the midfield rotation.
