Lazio 1–0 Juventus: Basic Strike Sinks Bianconeri as Winless Run Grows to Eight

The Croatian midfielder seals a vital win for Sarri’s side, while David and Juventus endure another miserable night at the Olimpico.

Lazio triumph as Juventus crisis deepens

Lazio handed Juventus yet another setback with a 1–0 victory at the Stadio Olimpico, extending the Bianconeri’s winless streak to eight matches in all competitions. Matija Basic’s early goal proved decisive in a match that once again exposed Juve’s lack of confidence and attacking edge.

Maurizio Sarri’s team started on the front foot and found the breakthrough in the ninth minute. Isaksen’s darting run down the right opened space for Cataldi to swing in a cross that deflected into the path of Basic, who slotted calmly past Perin from close range.

Juventus struggled to react. David endured another nightmare performance, missing his few chances and constantly losing possession. Vlahovic fought hard but was isolated, while midfielders Locatelli and Koopmeiners failed to provide creativity.

Lazio, meanwhile, looked solid and disciplined. Isaksen tormented the Juve defense with his pace, while Basic and Cataldi controlled the tempo in midfield. In the second half, Sarri’s men absorbed pressure with maturity, with Kalulu and Conceicao the few positives for a Juventus side otherwise short on ideas.

As the final whistle blew, the Olimpico erupted in relief for Lazio, who climbed up the table with a deserved win. For Igor Tudor’s Juventus, the crisis only deepens — eight games without a victory and growing questions about their direction.
