Roma overturn Kean’s opener to claim their third straight win and move to the top of Serie A — Soulé dazzles, Cristante delivers the winner.
Roma continue their hot streak under Gian Piero Gasperini, coming from behind to beat Fiorentina 2–1 at the Stadio Artemio Franchi. Moise Kean gave the hosts an early lead with a thunderous strike, but Matías Soulé and Bryan Cristante turned the game around before halftime, sealing Roma’s third consecutive league victory and sending them top of the table — at least temporarily.
The home side started strongly, and their intensity was rewarded in the 14th minute when Kean, finally breaking his goal drought, drove forward from the left and unleashed a fierce right-footed shot under the crossbar for 1–0.
Roma’s response was immediate. Just eight minutes later, Soulé — the team’s creative heartbeat — struck a stunning left-footed curler into the top corner after a clever backheel assist from Dovbyk. At that point, the Giallorossi took control. On the half-hour mark, Soulé’s in-swinging corner found Cristante at the near post, and the midfielder’s header beat De Gea to make it 2–1.
Fiorentina came close to equalizing when Kean’s low drive hit the post, but Roma managed the rest of the half well. In the second period, substitute Piccoli had two big chances to level for the Viola — heading just wide on one and smashing the crossbar from distance on the other. Roma, however, stayed composed and nearly extended their lead late on through Dybala, whose curling effort was well saved by De Gea.
When the final whistle blew, Gasperini’s Roma celebrated another statement win — one built on tactical balance, belief, and the brilliance of Soulé. Fiorentina, meanwhile, were left to rue missed chances in front of their home fans.
