Bologna closed out the first stretch of the Serie A season in style, thrashing Pisa 4–0 at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara. Vincenzo Italiano’s team bounced back emphatically from their midweek Europa League draw against Freiburg, producing a ruthless first-half display that left Alberto Gilardino’s men with no chance.
The match turned decisively on the 37th minute, when Pisa midfielder Idrissa Touré was shown a straight red card for denying a clear goal-scoring opportunity.
