Inter record their third straight Serie A win with a dominant display over Cremonese, led by an outstanding performance from substitute striker Bonny — a goal, three assists, and total control from start to finish.
Inter put on a show at San Siro, sweeping past Cremonese 4–1 in what was arguably their most complete performance of the season so far. With Marcus Thuram sidelined, Chris Bonny seized the spotlight — scoring once and setting up three more — as Cristian Chivu’s side extended their winning streak to three and moved temporarily to the top of the Serie A table.
The Nerazzurri wasted no time asserting control. In the 7th minute, Nicolò Barella sliced open Cremonese’s defense with a perfect through ball to Bonny, who squared for Lautaro Martínez to tap home. Inter thought they had doubled the lead soon after through Dimarco, but the goal was ruled out for offside. Still, the pressure kept mounting, and just before halftime Bonny got his reward, heading in a Dimarco cross to make it 2–0.
After the break, Inter’s dominance only grew. Bonny continued his one-man show, delivering two assists in two minutes — first for Dimarco, whose left-footed strike from distance was unstoppable, then for Barella, who capped a brilliant night in midfield with a crisp finish for 4–0.
Cremonese, completely overrun, barely managed to react. Even the introduction of veteran striker Jamie Vardy on his Serie A debut couldn’t turn the tide. The visitors’ lone consolation came in the 87th minute when Bonazzoli converted after a Vandeputte assist, taking advantage of a rare lapse in Inter’s defensive focus — much to Chivu’s visible frustration on the touchline.
For Inter, it was a statement win and proof of their incredible depth. Bonny’s explosive display has given Chivu a new attacking option, while Barella and Dimarco once again underlined their importance all over the pitch.
