Lazio returned to winning ways with a dominant 3-0 victory over Genoa, shaking off the disappointment of last week’s derby loss. Maurizio Sarri’s side took control of the match from the opening minutes and never looked back, moving up to six points in the Serie A standings.
The visitors struck just three minutes into the game when Taty Castellanos set up Matteo Cancellieri, who finished clinically to silence the home crowd. Genoa responded with several opportunities through Vitinha and Colombo but were unable to beat Ivan Provedel, who made two crucial saves before halftime.
Lazio doubled their lead on the half-hour mark with Castellanos finishing off a swift counterattack, giving Sarri’s men a comfortable advantage heading into the break.
