Iker Bravo’s first-half goal proves decisive as Udinese earn their second straight road victory and move up to third in the Serie A table.
Udinese made it two wins from two away matches to start the season, defeating Pisa 1-0 at the Arena Garibaldi thanks to a first-half strike from Iker Bravo. Runjaic’s men battled from start to finish, holding off a late surge from the hosts to secure a valuable three points.
The match began with an early scare for Udinese when Meister pressed Sava and won the ball, but his effort missed the target. From that moment on, the visitors took control. Around the 10th minute, Davis went close, firing into the side netting from the left side of the area.
The decisive moment came in the 14th minute. After Semper’s save left the ball loose in the box, Bravo reacted quickest and smashed home a powerful finish to put Udinese ahead. Moments later, Davis nearly doubled the lead on the counterattack, but his shot lacked precision.
Pisa responded with a couple of half-chances. Moreo fired over the bar from close range, and Akinsanmiro tried his luck from distance without troubling Sava. Just before the break, Atta tested Semper with a volley, but the Pisa goalkeeper was equal to it.
In the second half, Leris went close for Pisa with a header that sailed just over the crossbar. Buksa then created a golden opportunity for Ehizibue, but the wingback couldn’t hit the target.
As the match wore on, Pisa pushed for an equalizer. Tramoni forced a comfortable save from Sava before Caracciolo attempted a spectacular overhead kick that went narrowly over. Tramoni tried again from distance late on, but with no luck.
In the closing minutes, Kristensen made a crucial intervention, cutting out a dangerous cross before Meister could pounce. Udinese’s defense held firm through five minutes of stoppage time, sealing a hard-fought victory that lifts them to seven points and provisionally third place in the standings.
