Atalanta cruise past Lecce with a commanding performance, keeping their European ambitions alive on Matchday 31.
Atalanta delivered a convincing 3-0 victory away at Lecce, continuing their strong run of form and closing the gap to the top four in Serie A.
After a balanced opening phase in which Lecce showed early intent without creating real danger, Atalanta gradually took control of the match through superior quality and composure.
The breakthrough came in the 29th minute when Giorgio Scalvini surged forward and finished powerfully from inside the box, giving the visitors a deserved lead.
Atalanta continued to dictate the tempo and nearly extended their advantage before halftime, but it was in the second half that they sealed the result.
Just before the hour mark, Nikola Krstovic—facing his former club—doubled the lead. Set up by a creative Charles De Ketelaere, the striker controlled the ball and fired a precise shot into the corner.
Krstovic nearly added a second soon after, but it was Giacomo Raspadori who put the game beyond doubt in the 73rd minute, finishing emphatically from close range to make it 3-0.
