In a surreal atmosphere at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino — with organized Torino supporters boycotting the match — the Granata delivered a commanding performance to strengthen their survival hopes.
Simeone Strikes Early
The match exploded into life almost immediately.
After just three minutes, Nikola Vlašić drove forward through the middle before a deflection sent the ball into the path of Giovanni Simeone. From a tight angle, the Argentine striker squeezed a shot through the legs of goalkeeper Zion Suzuki to give Torino an early lead.
