A set-piece breakthrough opened the floodgates, and from there Roma controlled proceedings against a Cremonese side that never truly threatened.
Slow Start, Then Roma Take Over
The opening stages were cagey, with few clear-cut chances. The first real opportunity arrived after 35 minutes when Mancini hit the crossbar, while Pellegrini’s acrobatic effort was blocked inside the box.
Cremonese defended compactly, but Roma eventually broke through from a familiar weapon: a corner. Pellegrini’s delivery found Bryan Cristante, whose trademark near-post run produced the 1-0 in the 59th minute.
From that point forward, the match tilted decisively in Roma’s favor.
Ndicka Doubles, Pisilli Finishes It
The Giallorossi doubled their advantage in the 77th minute when Evan Ndicka headed home for his first Serie A goal, capping a dominant defensive and attacking display.
Cremonese briefly attempted a response, but Vardy—denied one-on-one by Svilar—and Thorsby lacked precision in front of goal.
Roma sealed the result late on as substitute Niccolò Pisilli finished off a well-worked move initiated by Malen, making it 3-0 in the 86th minute.
With four points now separating Roma from fifth-placed Juventus, the Champions League race is firmly in their hands.
