Udinese turn on the style at the Bentegodi, beating Hellas Verona 3–1 and moving level with Lazio in ninth place.
After an initially balanced first half, Kosta Runjaic’s side take full control of the match, driven by a dominant Keinan Davis performance that proves far too much for a struggling Verona.
The visitors start aggressively and are rewarded midway through the first half when Arthur Atta opens the scoring, capitalising on Udinese’s bright approach. The lead, however, lasts only a few minutes: Verona respond immediately through Gift Orban, who restores parity and briefly lifts the home crowd.
From that moment on, though, the balance of the match slowly tilts in Udinese’s favour. Early in the second half comes the turning point: Alessandro Zanoli produces a stunning strike to make it 2–1, a goal that knocks the wind out of Zanetti’s side. As Verona tire, spaces open up—and Udinese exploit them ruthlessly.
The game is effectively sealed on 66 minutes. Keinan Davis, already a constant menace, finishes clinically to make it 3–1, capping a superlative display and underlining his physical and technical superiority over the Verona defence. From there on, the Friulians manage the match with confidence, seeing out a convincing away win.
For Verona, it’s another damaging blow. Despite Orban’s goal and a decent first-half showing, the loss exposes the squad’s current limitations—issues that the club may need to address urgently in the transfer market. The Gialloblù now sit bottom of the table on 14 points, level with Pisa.
Udinese, by contrast, leave Verona with momentum and belief. Their attacking unit clicks, Davis shines as the focal point, and the three points are enough to lift Runjaic’s men alongside Lazio in ninth place.
