Scamacca, De Roon, Raspadori and Krstovic on target as Atalanta bounce back in Serie A Matchday 22
Atalanta put their Champions League disappointment firmly behind them with an emphatic 4-0 home win over Parma, delivering one of their most convincing performances of the season on Matchday 22 of the 2025/26 Serie A campaign.
After the setback against Athletic Bilbao in Europe, Raffaele Palladino’s side responded in style, overwhelming Parma with intensity, quality and attacking depth. Charles De Ketelaere was virtually unplayable, orchestrating much of Atalanta’s attacking play and setting the tone for a dominant evening.
Parma started with some ambition and even threatened early on through Benedyczak, forcing Marco Carnesecchi into a sharp save. But the balance of the match shifted quickly. In the 15th minute, Atalanta were awarded a penalty after a clumsy challenge by Britschgi on Zalewski, and Gianluca Scamacca coolly converted from the spot.
The hosts doubled their lead nine minutes later. De Ketelaere sliced through Parma’s midfield and defense before delivering a perfect assist for Marten de Roon, who finished clinically to make it 2-0 before halftime.
Any remaining hopes for a Parma comeback were extinguished in the second half. Making his first start for Atalanta, Giacomo Raspadori made an immediate impact in the 73rd minute, tapping into an empty net after Krstovic anticipated a costly error from Troilo and squared the ball across goal.
Deep into stoppage time, Krstovic capped off a superb cameo appearance. After Corvi denied Ahanor with a fine save, the striker was quickest to react and tucked home from close range to seal the final 4-0 scoreline.
The gap in quality between the two sides was evident throughout. Cuesta’s tactical gamble to leave Pellegrino on the bench initially failed to pay off, and Parma never truly recovered from Atalanta’s relentless pressure.
With this win, Atalanta move up to seventh place and remain firmly in the race for European qualification. Parma, meanwhile, continue to look over their shoulder in the relegation battle, sitting six points clear of the drop zone.
