Pisa, after reading the statements of Vice Mayor Raffaele Latrofa, has taken note with satisfaction and also amazement that in short time, and with very limited investments, the North Curva of the Arena Garibaldi Stadium can be expanded. A very delicate situation on the part of the Tuscan club that could have ended now. On the official website Pisa has specified that: “the satisfaction comes from learning that, finally, the Company’s request, advanced and renewed over the years, can be welcomed. It is surprising, however, that the proposed solution, which has always been considered by the municipality, is not feasible for structural limits of the plant, today has become viable. The priority requirement that our Company has always manifested to the Municipality, waiting for the final decision on the new stadium, is to have a plant in accordance with the most suitable and safe as possible and with the maximum activable capacity, in order to put in condition the Company to be able to exploit all opportunities and ensure the maximum availability of seats to the fans. Another reason for amazement comes from the fact that the Vice Mayor has in his statement underlined that “the administration has decided to undertake the work of enlargement only for a few months as it is clear that the new stage is no longer a near horizon”; the Vice Mayor forgets (or is probably not aware of) the weekly appointments that the Society, for months, has been carrying out with the leaders of the Municipality for the resolution of the Stadium problem“.
