The Tardini clash ends all square: Pasalic celebrates a milestone with a goal, but substitute Cutrone equalizes just minutes after coming on for his Parma debut.
A tense, low-key first half gave way to a lively finale as Parma and Atalanta shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw at the Stadio Ennio Tardini.
Atalanta nearly took the lead early on when Gianluca Scamacca spotted goalkeeper Suzuki off his line, but his long-range lob hit the inside of the post. Parma responded through Valeri, whose left-footed strike flew just wide, while Bernabé forced Carnesecchi into a save before halftime.
The second half opened with Atalanta showing more initiative, but it was Parma’s substitutes who made the greater impact. Krstovic immediately threatened with his physical presence, then set up Mario Pasalic for the opener in the 79th minute. It was a fitting reward on the Croatian’s 300th appearance in the Nerazzurri shirt.
Parma, however, refused to fold. A free kick from Valenti caused chaos in the box, Delprato’s header was saved, and Patrick Cutrone — making his debut just minutes after coming on — pounced on the rebound to fire home the equalizer in the 85th minute.
Neither side could find a late winner, leaving both teams with a point in their Serie A opener.
