The Bianconeri have reopened talks with Paris Saint-Germain over Randal Kolo Muani, while Luciano Spalletti continues to push for Dusan Vlahović to remain part of the project.
After a disappointing season in front of goal, Juventus FC are looking to reshape their attack—and a familiar face has moved to the top of the club’s wishlist.
According to reports in Italy, Juventus have already reopened discussions with Paris Saint-Germain FC regarding Randal Kolo Muani, with sporting director Damien Comolli eager to move quickly and avoid the lengthy negotiations that complicated previous transfer pursuits.
A Return Turin Would Welcome
Kolo Muani left a strong impression during his previous spell in Turin.
The French forward played a crucial role during the second half of the 2024-25 season, helping Juventus secure Champions League qualification with an impressive return of 10 goals and 3 assists in just 22 appearances.
His pace, versatility, and ability to stretch defenses gave Juventus an attacking dimension that was often missing this past season.
The contrast was particularly evident as the club struggled for goals from several high-profile signings. Between Jonathan David, Loïs Openda, and Edon Zhegrova, Juventus received only 10 league goals combined—matching the tally produced by Dušan Vlahović alone.
That lack of firepower has convinced the club to pursue a proven solution rather than gamble on another adaptation period.
Juventus Ready to Invest
Unlike last summer, Juventus appear prepared to move decisively.
PSG reportedly prefer a permanent transfer and are looking to resolve Kolo Muani’s future once and for all after an inconsistent loan spell at Tottenham Hotspur FC, where he recorded 5 goals and 4 assists across all competitions.
The French international was also left out of France’s World Cup squad, meaning he would be immediately available for preseason preparations.
Juventus are believed to be willing to invest between €30 million and €35 million to secure the striker permanently, a figure that could satisfy PSG’s demands.
Spalletti Wants Kolo Muani and Vlahović
The most intriguing aspect of the situation is that Kolo Muani is not viewed as a replacement for Vlahović.
New manager Luciano Spalletti reportedly wants both players in his squad and believes Juventus need two elite-level strikers to compete domestically and in Europe.
For that reason, the club is still attempting to find an agreement with Vlahović over a contract extension.
The negotiations, however, remain difficult.
Vlahović Reaches a Crossroads
Vlahović’s current deal is approaching its final stages, and discussions over a renewal have stalled due to disagreements regarding signing bonuses, agent commissions, and salary structure.
Juventus have reportedly offered a two-year contract worth €6 million per season plus bonuses and are unwilling to significantly increase those terms.
The club plans one final attempt to convince the Serbian striker to stay, but internally the feeling is that negotiations are reaching a decisive moment.
Spalletti remains one of Vlahović’s strongest supporters and would welcome the chance to build his attack around a partnership featuring both the Serbian and Kolo Muani.
Mateta Remains the Alternative
Should talks with Vlahović collapse, Juventus already have a backup plan.
Jean-Philippe Mateta of Crystal Palace FC continues to be monitored after attracting interest during the January transfer window.
For now, however, Juventus’ priority is clear: bring Kolo Muani back to Turin and make one last push to keep Vlahović.
If both objectives are achieved, Spalletti could begin the new season with one of the most formidable attacking duos in Serie A.
