Cagliari Calcio celebrated survival in style with a dramatic 2-1 comeback victory over Torino FC in front of their home supporters on Matchday 37.
The Sardinians mathematically secured their Serie A status for next season thanks to a stunning turnaround just before halftime, capping off an emotional evening at the Unipol Domus.
After a relatively balanced opening period, Torino struck first in the 38th minute through a brilliant finish from Obrador, who fired the visitors ahead and briefly silenced the home crowd.
Cagliari’s response, however, was immediate. Less than a minute later, Sebastiano Esposito restored parity with a quick equalizer that reignited the atmosphere inside the stadium and completely shifted momentum toward the hosts.
Just when the match appeared destined to head into halftime level, Cagliari delivered another decisive blow deep into stoppage time. Defender Yerry Mina surged into the area and found the winning goal in the second minute of added time, completing the comeback and effectively sealing the club’s Serie A survival.
