Dramatic stoppage-time twists headline Matchday 34 as Lazio and Udinese share the spoils
One of the most dramatic matches of the Serie A season unfolded at the Stadio Olimpico, where Lazio and Udinese played out an incredible 3-3 draw to close Matchday 34. A game filled with momentum swings, stunning goals, and late drama saw both teams score in stoppage time in a chaotic finale.
Udinese started brightly and looked the sharper side in the opening stages. After an early warning, they took the lead in the 18th minute through Kingsley Ehizibue, who blasted a powerful shot past Marco Motta after a sustained attacking move.
Lazio struggled to create in the first half but came out with renewed energy after the break. Their equalizer arrived in spectacular fashion in the 50th minute, as Luca Pellegrini unleashed a brilliant strike from outside the box that found the top corner.
The Biancocelesti continued to push and nearly went ahead through Isaksen, whose effort struck the crossbar. The turning point came in the 80th minute when Pedro curled in a stunning shot to complete the comeback and put Lazio ahead 2-1.
But the drama was far from over.
Udinese responded in the 86th minute when Atta capitalized on a rebound to make it 2-2. Then, deep into stoppage time, the same midfielder struck again, completing his brace in the 93rd minute to seemingly seal a remarkable turnaround for the visitors.
Yet Lazio had one final say. In the 95th minute, after Alessio Romagnoli had hit the post moments earlier, Daniel Maldini was perfectly positioned to convert the rebound and make it 3-3, capping an unforgettable match.
The result leaves both teams with mixed feelings: Udinese will regret letting victory slip away at the death, while Lazio salvaged a point in a game that seemed lost.
