A dominant Juventus side makes it three straight wins, with David and Thuram on target in a controlled performance at the Allianz Stadium.
Juventus continued their strong push for a top-four finish with a convincing 2-0 win over Bologna on Matchday 33. The Bianconeri took control early and never looked back, strengthening their grip on a Champions League spot.
Under Luciano Spalletti, Juventus delivered a composed and efficient performance, capitalizing on their chances and keeping Bologna at arm’s length throughout the match.
Fast Start Sets the Tone
Juventus wasted no time asserting themselves, taking the lead after just two minutes. A precise cross from Pierre Kalulu found Jonathan David, who powered a header into the far corner to give the hosts an immediate advantage.
The early goal allowed Juventus to dictate the tempo, with Francisco Conceição repeatedly threatening Bologna’s defense. The Portuguese winger even found the net once, but his effort was ruled out for offside.
Juventus came close to doubling their lead before halftime, with Rasmus Højlund Holm striking the crossbar and David narrowly missing the target with a low diagonal shot.
Thuram Makes the Difference
Bologna showed signs of life early in the second half, with Riccardo Orsolini coming close to equalizing from a tight angle.
However, Juventus quickly regained control and doubled their lead in the 56th minute. Substitute Khéphren Thuram rose above Tommaso Pobega to head home a cross from Weston McKennie, capping off another well-worked move.
Juventus in Control Until the End
Bologna pushed forward in search of a response and came close when Rowe struck the post with the goalkeeper beaten, but it wasn’t enough to change the outcome.
Despite a late injury to Federico Bernardeschi, which left Bologna temporarily a man short, Juventus comfortably managed the closing stages without conceding chances.
The victory puts Juventus firmly in control of their Champions League destiny, now five points clear of their closest challengers and closing in on the teams above them.
