Milan bounce back with a crucial win as Pavlovic, Rabiot, and Fofana secure three points in a thrilling Serie A Matchday 30 clash.
Milan responded to their recent setback against Lazio with an important 3–2 victory over Torino at San Siro, keeping pace in the title race and moving within five points of league leaders Inter.
In a lively and hard-fought encounter, the Rossoneri overcame an early Torino push and relied on moments of individual brilliance—most notably from Adrien Rabiot—to secure all three points.
Torino started the brighter of the two sides, showing confidence and intensity in the opening stages. The visitors created early pressure, but Milan gradually grew into the game, led by the influence of Rabiot in midfield.
The breakthrough came in the 37th minute through a moment of pure quality. Strahinja Pavlovic collected a loose ball outside the box and unleashed a powerful left-footed strike that clipped the crossbar before finding the net, giving Milan a 1–0 lead.
Torino responded quickly. After a strong save by Mike Maignan denied Duvan Zapata, Giovanni Simeone reacted fastest to a rebound off the post and tapped in the equalizer in the 44th minute.
At halftime, Massimiliano Allegri reshaped his side, switching to a back four—a move that immediately paid dividends.
In the 54th minute, Luka Modric threaded a precise pass to Christian Pulisic, who delivered a cross to the far post where Rabiot arrived to score his first home goal for Milan.
Just two minutes later, Milan struck again. Youssouf Fofana was given too much space on the edge of the box and punished Torino with a powerful shot to make it 3–1.
Torino refused to give up and continued to threaten, with Maignan producing an important save to deny Simeone a second goal.
The match took another twist late on when Torino were awarded a penalty following a VAR review for a foul by Pavlovic on Simeone. Nikola Vlasic converted from the spot in the 83rd minute, setting up a tense finale.
Despite late pressure from the visitors, Milan managed the closing stages well and held on to secure a vital victory.
The result sees Milan stay firmly in the title race, while Torino can take positives from a competitive performance despite the defeat.
