The Bianconeri fight back from two goals down to snatch a dramatic draw at the Olimpico, staying four points behind fourth place on Matchday 27.
AS Roma and Juventus FC played out one of the most entertaining matches of Matchday 27 in Serie A, a breathless 3-3 draw that left both sides with mixed emotions.
Roma will feel it as two points dropped. Juventus will see it as one dramatically gained.
End-to-End Chaos
The tone was set early at the Stadio Olimpico. The teams were stretched, chances came quickly, and neither defense looked fully in control.
Roma struck first in the 39th minute. After Pisilli led a high-energy recovery, Wesley curled a magnificent right-footed effort into the far corner, sending the home crowd into celebration.
Juventus responded immediately after the break. Francisco Conceição unleashed a stunning strike into the top corner to level at 1-1, briefly shifting momentum.
But Roma hit back. Lorenzo Pellegrini found Evan Ndicka unmarked inside the box in the 54th minute, and the defender made no mistake. Then, in the 65th, Malen continued his red-hot form — timing his run perfectly and delicately lifting the ball over Mattia Perin for 3-1.
At that point, the game seemed under control for the Giallorossi.
Juventus Refuse to Fold
Juventus showed resilience. Jeremie Boga reignited hope in the 78th minute, cutting the deficit to 3-2 and setting up a frantic finale.
Roma, meanwhile, lost composure. A costly foul from El Aynaoui led to a dangerous set piece deep into stoppage time. From the ensuing delivery, substitute Federico Gatti — on the pitch only minutes earlier — rose to power home the equalizer in the 93rd minute.
Pandemonium among the Juventus players. Silence across much of the Olimpico.
Standout Performers and Defensive Lapses
Niccolò Pisilli embodied Roma’s spirit, driving the midfield with energy and intelligence. Malen was clinical once again, confirming his excellent run of form.
For Juventus, Conceição provided quality, and Gatti delivered the decisive moment. However, Andrea Cambiaso struggled defensively, losing track of Ndicka on the second Roma goal, while Perin endured an uneven night between the posts.
In the end, the four-point gap between the sides remains unchanged — but the momentum may feel different.
