GENOA 3-0 TORINO: Baldanzi Shines as Ilkhan Sees Red in Dominant Rossoblù Win

Norton-Cuffy opens the scoring, Ekuban doubles the lead after a Baldanzi solo run, and Messias seals it as GENOA cruise past a struggling TORINO side reduced to ten men.

Serie A Matchday 26 produced a decisive victory at the Ferraris, where Genoa defeated Torino 3-0 to draw level with the Granata in the standings.

After collecting just one point from their previous three matches, GENOA responded emphatically, while TORINO’s slump continues with only one win in their last eight league outings.

First Half: Norton-Cuffy and Ekuban Strike

The early stages were balanced and cautious, but GENOA broke through in the 21st minute. Brooke Norton-Cuffy reacted quickest to a rebound after Paleari parried Ekuban’s initial effort, finishing from close range to make it 1-0.

The second goal stemmed from a moment of brilliance by Tommaso Baldanzi. The young playmaker surged forward on a solo run, forced another imperfect save from Paleari, and Caleb Ekuban was on hand to convert the rebound and double the advantage.

TORINO’s half ended in disaster. Just before the break, Ilkhan lost his composure and committed a reckless challenge on Colombo, earning a straight red card and leaving the visitors with ten men.

Second Half: Messias Puts It to Bed

Despite their numerical disadvantage, TORINO attempted a response and nearly pulled one back when Vlašić set up Zapata, but the striker failed to capitalize.

GENOA remained in control and eventually found a third goal through substitute Junior Messias, who punished a costly mistake from Pedersen and calmly finished to seal the 3-0 win.

It was a statement performance from De Rossi’s side, highlighted by Baldanzi’s creativity and Norton-Cuffy’s dominance on the flank. For TORINO, defensive frailties and indiscipline continue to undermine their campaign.
