An own goal and a tap-in from Vlašić cancel each other out before Castro’s strike ends BOLOGNA’s losing streak and deepens TORINO’s troubles.
Serie A Matchday 25 brought a much-needed boost for Bologna, who snapped a four-game losing run with a 2-1 away win over Torino at the Olimpico Grande Torino.
The result allows BOLOGNA to cautiously revive hopes of pushing toward seventh place, while TORINO suffer another damaging defeat that leaves them edging closer to the relegation zone.
Second-Half Spark After a Dull First Period
The opening 45 minutes were short on quality and chances, with both sides struggling to impose themselves. The game finally came alive after the break.
Just four minutes into the second half, BOLOGNA took the lead when a touch from Moro deflected off Nikola Vlašić and ended up in the back of the net for an unfortunate own goal.
TORINO responded through changes that injected more unpredictability. At 62 minutes, Duván Zapata forced Skorupski into a save, and Vlašić reacted quickest to the rebound, making amends by slotting home the equalizer.
Castro Decides It
The balance did not last long. BOLOGNA remained the more proactive side and were rewarded in the 70th minute. A perfectly weighted through ball from Federico Bernardeschi found Santiago Castro, who used his strength to shrug off the defense, turned sharply, and poked a precise finish past Paleari.
TORINO struggled to create further clear chances, and BOLOGNA managed the closing stages with composure to secure a vital three points.
