From 0-2 down to a dominant win: Inter overwhelm Pisa with a second-half surge, stretching their lead at the top and sending a clear message to Milan.
Inter produced one of the most dramatic turnarounds of their Serie A season, recovering from an early two-goal deficit to crush Pisa 6-2 at San Siro and move six points clear of Milan at the top of the table.
The opening phase belonged entirely to the visitors, led by a sensational Stefano Moreo. Pisa stunned the stadium after just 11 minutes when Sommer made a shocking error in possession, gifting the ball to Moreo, who showed remarkable composure to score from long range. The striker doubled his tally soon after, rising highest at the near post to head home from a corner and put Pisa 2-0 up inside 23 minutes.
Inter were rocked, but slowly regained control. The turning point came late in the first half. Zielinski pulled one back from the penalty spot after Tramoni was penalized for handball, and just two minutes later Lautaro Martínez leveled the score with a powerful header from a trademark Dimarco cross. Before Pisa could regroup, Inter completed the comeback: Bastoni delivered a perfect ball into the box and Pio Esposito nodded in the 3-2 just before halftime.
After the break, Pisa tried to stay in the game through the heroics of Scuffet, who denied Esposito and Dimarco in quick succession. Inter, however, were relentless. Thuram went close shortly after coming on, Dimarco saw an effort cleared off the line by Calabresi, and the Nerazzurri pressure continued to mount.
The decisive moment arrived ten minutes from time. Dimarco, the true catalyst of the comeback, struck a spectacular volley that bounced in off both posts before crossing the line. From there it became a procession: Bonny added the fifth with a fine individual effort, and Mkhitaryan capped the night in stoppage time to make it 6-2.
Despite the heavy defeat, Pisa can take pride in Moreo’s unforgettable brace and an excellent first half. For Inter, this was a statement win—one that underlined their depth, resilience, and attacking power as the title race intensifies.
