No goals, no drama — Juventus and Milan cancel each other out in a flat clash at the Allianz Stadium, with Pulisic missing a penalty and Leao spurning a sitter.
A goalless draw between Juventus and AC Milan at the Allianz Stadium ended amid frustration and whistles from the home crowd. It was a match that promised much on paper but delivered little, with Milan slightly more dangerous over the 90 minutes — yet guilty of missing two huge chances that could have secured all three points.
The first half was a slow, disjointed affair. Neither side wanted to take control of possession, and the match drifted without rhythm or intensity. Juventus relied on flashes of individual skill, particularly from young winger Conceição, who was their brightest spark, while McKennie and David both wasted promising opportunities. Milan’s best looks came from Gimenez, twice testing Di Gregorio before the break.
The second half briefly came alive. In the 49th minute, Juventus defender Gatti forced a spectacular save from Maignan, the first real highlight of the match. Just moments later, Milan were awarded a penalty when Kelly clattered into Gimenez from behind after a clever pass from Modric. But from the spot, Pulisic blasted over the bar — a costly miss that summed up Milan’s night in front of goal.
Juventus offered little in attack and seemed content to settle into a conservative shape. Milan continued to press and nearly broke through in the 72nd minute when Pulisic delivered a perfect cross for Leao, who somehow failed to convert from two yards out. The Portuguese forward had another chance in stoppage time but was denied by Di Gregorio’s diving save.
The draw leaves both teams unsatisfied: Juventus lacked bite in the final third, while Milan will rue their missed chances. With the international break ahead, both Allegri and Tudor have plenty to think about.
