Both sides struggle to create chances as defenses dominate in a goalless draw
Cremonese and Parma shared the points in a cagey 0-0 draw at the Stadio Zini in the fourth round of the 2025/26 Serie A season.
Parma started the match brightly and came close to breaking the deadlock after just 10 minutes when Pellegrino’s header from a Valeri cross struck the post. The visitors were forced into an early change in the 16th minute when Collocolo left the field injured, with Grassi coming on to replace him.
Chances were scarce in a first half marked by slow tempo and frequent interruptions. Parma maintained more possession and attacking intent but struggled to break down Cremonese’s solid defensive block. The home side showed signs of life late in the half, but the teams went into the break still scoreless after four minutes of stoppage time.
Early in the second half, Baschirotto had a header go just wide from a Cremonese set piece. Parma responded in the 56th minute when Bernabé forced Audero into a save, pushing the ball out for a corner. Despite fresh legs from both benches, clear-cut opportunities remained hard to come by.
Cremonese nearly snatched a late winner in the 85th minute through Moumbagna, while Parma came close at the other end in the 90th minute when a dangerous cross-shot from Franco Vazquez forced Suzuki into a corner. However, neither side could find a breakthrough in the five minutes of added time.
With this result, Cremonese sits sixth in the table with 8 points, while Parma remains in the relegation zone with just 2 points. Next up, Cremonese travels to face Como on Saturday, while Parma turns its attention to the Coppa Italia against Spezia on Wednesday.
