Torino and Fiorentina played out a forgettable 0-0 draw on Sunday evening, with the only real winners being the two goalkeepers. David De Gea for Fiorentina and Miguel Israel for Torino both produced excellent saves to deny clear scoring chances, keeping the match scoreless.
For Stefano Pioli’s Fiorentina, it was the second straight draw to open the Serie A season. For Marco Baroni’s Torino, this was their first point after losing in the opening round.
The first half saw the best action, with De Gea denying Cesare Casadei and Giovanni Simeone, while Israel stopped debutant Roberto Piccoli.
