Como 3-4 Inter: Thuram and Dumfries Lead Stunning Comeback in Seven-Goal Thriller

Inter fight back from two goals down to secure a dramatic win, extending their lead at the top on Matchday 32.

Inter pulled off a sensational comeback to defeat Como 4-3 in one of the most entertaining matches of the Serie A season. Trailing by two goals just before halftime, the Nerazzurri responded with authority, powered by braces from Marcus Thuram and Denzel Dumfries to secure all three points and extend their lead at the top to +9 over Napoli.

Como started brightly and looked well-organized under Cesc Fàbregas, but it was individual brilliance that broke the deadlock. In the 36th minute, Nico Paz sparked the move with a shot that forced a save from Yann Sommer, allowing Valle to capitalize on the rebound and make it 1-0.

Just before halftime, Como doubled their lead. A long ball from goalkeeper Butez found Nico Paz, who calmly finished into the far corner to give the hosts a surprising 2-0 advantage. However, Inter responded immediately in stoppage time, with Thuram reacting quickest to reduce the deficit and swing momentum.

The second half began with Inter in full control. Thuram struck again just minutes after the restart, leveling the score with a composed finish. The comeback was complete in the 58th minute, as Dumfries powered home a header from Hakan Çalhanoğlu’s set piece.

Dumfries wasn’t done. The Dutch wing-back struck again in the 72nd minute to make it 4-2, capping off a dominant spell from the visitors.

Como refused to give up. Da Cunha converted a late penalty to bring the score to 4-3, and in stoppage time Ramon came agonizingly close to equalizing, only to see his effort crash against the crossbar.

Despite the late scare, Inter held on for a crucial victory that strengthens their grip on the Scudetto race. Como, meanwhile, slip out of the top four, punished by defensive errors despite a strong attacking display led by Nico Paz.
