Bodo Glimt 2–3 Juventus: Yildiz Turns the Tide in the Arctic, David Wins It at the Death

A freezing night north of the Arctic Circle turns fiery as Yildiz transforms Juventus, Cabal nearly derails everything, and a chaotic finale delivers three crucial Champions League points.

Bodo/Glimt 2–3 Juventus — Matchday Recap

Juventus survived a wild Champions League night in Norway, edging Bodo/Glimt 3–2 thanks to a stoppage-time winner in the Arctic cold. Luciano Spalletti’s team climbed to six points in the group, but only after a roller-coaster performance that swung from disastrous to brilliant—and nearly back again.

The opening half was all discomfort for Juve. Playing in subzero temperatures, the Bianconeri struggled to settle, and the hosts capitalized. After a close-range scare that Perin survived thanks to a deflection, Blomberg punished Juve’s passive marking, smashing in the opener for a deserved 1–0 lead.

Juventus relied on Conceição’s individual flashes, but they were isolated and insufficient. Adzic, overwhelmed and error-prone, repeatedly lost the ball in dangerous zones, contributing to one of Juve’s worst first halves of the season.

Spalletti made the decisive change at halftime: Kenan Yildiz. Everything shifted immediately. Within minutes, the 19-year-old took a low shot that deflected kindly to Openda, who tapped in for the equalizer. Soon after, a brilliant Yildiz-to-Miretti combination produced what looked like the go-ahead goal, but VAR canceled it for offside.

It didn’t matter. Yildiz lit up the pitch again, linking with Miretti, whose delicate chip found McKennie to finish calmly and complete the comeback for 2–1.

But in true Champions League fashion, tension exploded again late. Cabal—on the field for mere minutes—committed a reckless foul in the box, gifting Bodo/Glimt a penalty. Sondre Fet converted coolly to make it 2–2 in the 87th minute.

Juve could have crumbled, but Yildiz had one more spark. His shot forced yet another save from Haikin, and David pounced on the rebound for the dramatic 91st-minute winner.

A night that began with nerves and mistakes ended with relief—and with further proof that Yildiz is already indispensable to this Juventus.
