Juventus Land Jeff Ekhator and Step Up Pursuit of Randal Kolo Muani

The Bianconeri complete a deal for one of Italy’s brightest young strikers and intensify talks with Paris Saint-Germain to bring Kolo Muani back to Turin.
Juventus have officially launched the next phase of their attacking rebuild.

Just hours after Dušan Vlahović’s departure became official, the Bianconeri moved quickly to secure one of Italy’s most promising young forwards, completing a deal for Genoa striker Jeff Ekhator while simultaneously accelerating negotiations to re-sign Randal Kolo Muani from Paris Saint-Germain.

The transfer for Ekhator was finalized in less than 48 hours.

The 19-year-old striker, who recently made his senior debut for Italy against Greece, completed his medical in Turin overnight after Juventus reached an agreement with Genoa worth approximately €18 million.

As part of the deal, Juventus Next Gen full-back David Puczka moves in the opposite direction to Genoa in a transfer valued at around €5 million.

Standing 6-foot-2 (188 cm), Ekhator arrives after making 57 first-team appearances and scoring five goals for Genoa, where he emerged as one of Serie A’s most exciting young attacking prospects.

His signing also fulfills one of head coach Luciano Spalletti’s priorities: adding a physically imposing striker capable of leading the line.

However, Ekhator is not expected to be Juventus’ only attacking reinforcement this summer.

The club continues to push for the return of Randal Kolo Muani, who impressed during his previous spell in Turin and remains outside Luis Enrique’s plans at Paris Saint-Germain.

According to reports in Italy, Juventus chief executive Giovanni Carnevali has intensified talks with PSG in recent days.

The latest proposal reportedly includes a larger initial loan fee that would make a permanent transfer next summer highly likely, while technically avoiding an immediate mandatory purchase obligation for accounting purposes.

Paris Saint-Germain continue to value the French international at around €40 million plus bonuses, but discussions remain ongoing as both clubs search for a structure that satisfies financial regulations.

If completed, Kolo Muani would become Juventus’ starting striker for the new season.

Ekhator, meanwhile, is expected to serve as a long-term development project and rotational option.

The club is also evaluating the futures of several other forwards.

Jonathan David could remain in Turin despite transfer speculation, depending on offers received during the summer, while Lois Openda is expected to leave on loan. Juventus will also seek a solution for veteran striker Arkadiusz Milik.

Spalletti would still welcome the arrival of another traditional center forward with a strong physical presence inside the penalty area, and several profiles remain under consideration.

Elsewhere, Juventus continue working on other priority positions.

The pursuit of Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez has cooled slightly, while Tottenham’s Guglielmo Vicario has emerged as an increasingly realistic option. Napoli goalkeeper Vanja Milinković-Savić also remains on the shortlist.

At left-back, Matteo Ruggeri is another target should Andrea Cambiaso leave Turin later this summer.

With Vlahović gone and a new sporting project taking shape, Juventus have wasted little time reshaping their attack.

Ekhator is the first piece of the puzzle.

Kolo Muani could be the next.
