Cagliari Calcio fell 2-1 at home to Como 1907 in a pivotal Matchday 28 clash in Serie A.
The victory allows Como to temporarily draw level with Roma in fourth place with 51 points, strengthening their unlikely push for a Champions League spot ahead of next week’s direct showdown with the Giallorossi.
Baturina Strikes Early

A loose ball challenge between Maxence Da Cunha and Alberto Dossena fell kindly for Martin Baturina, who calmly finished to score his fifth league goal of the season. The Croatian midfielder’s composure punished a hesitant Cagliari defense and immediately put the visitors in control.

Palestra surged down the right flank and delivered a cross toward the far post. Obert redirected the ball back across the area, where Sebastiano Esposito dove to head home, catching Butez off guard and ending a three-month scoring drought.

The decisive moment arrived in the 76th minute.
Da Cunha, already involved in the opening goal, produced a stunning left-footed strike from nearly 30 yards out. The shot flew past Elia Caprile and into the net, restoring Como’s lead in spectacular fashion.
Cagliari nearly equalized late when Michel Adopo tested Butez at the near post, but the goalkeeper produced a crucial save to preserve the result.
