The club have made an initial inquiry for Sikou Niakaté, a central defender currently playing for Braga. Fiorentina proposed a loan deal with a right to buy, but the Portuguese side have already turned down that formula.
Braga’s stance suggests they are unwilling to part with Niakaté on temporary terms, at least for now, forcing Fiorentina to reassess their approach if they decide to push further. The interest, however, highlights the club’s intention to reinforce the back line before the transfer window closes.
