Napoli make it four straight wins between Serie A and the Supercoppa, dominating Lazio at the Olimpico with goals from Spinazzola and Rrahmani.
Napoli’s momentum shows no sign of slowing down. The reigning champions delivered another authoritative performance, beating Lazio 2-0 at the Stadio Olimpico to claim their fourth consecutive victory across all competitions and remain firmly attached to the top of the Serie A table.
Antonio Conte’s side were superior from start to finish, combining intensity, width, and control to dismantle a Lazio team that looked sterile in attack and increasingly nervous as the match progressed.
The breakthrough came in the 14th minute. David Neres, once again a constant source of danger before being forced off injured, whipped in a sharp cross from the right. Leonardo Spinazzola timed his run perfectly and finished first-time under Provedel’s legs, punishing his former club and setting the tone for the evening.
Napoli doubled their lead just past the half-hour mark. Matteo Politano, outstanding on the right flank, delivered a pinpoint free kick that Amir Rrahmani attacked with conviction, powering a header past the Lazio goalkeeper to make it 2-0.
The Azzurri could have killed the game before halftime. Eljif Elmas struck the crossbar and later wasted a clear chance for a third, but Napoli never truly looked in danger. In the second half, they continued to control possession and territory, threatening again through Spinazzola and Elmas while keeping Lazio at arm’s length.
Frustration boiled over for the hosts. Noslin was sent off for a second yellow card, and late on, tempers flared as Marušić and substitute Mazzocchi were both shown red cards following a heated confrontation. Lazio’s attacking leaders never got going—Zaccagni was anonymous, while the midfield was overrun by Napoli’s physicality and pressing.
The only blemish on an otherwise perfect night for Conte was the injury to Neres, who went down clutching his left ankle and was forced to leave the pitch. Aside from that, Napoli once again sent a clear message to their title rivals, having now beaten Roma and Lazio away within the space of just over a month.
For Lazio, it was a third consecutive match without a win and another step away from the European places.
