It was a game that looked set for a draw until the dying seconds. Inter started brightly, pressing high and creating early danger through Zielinski and Lautaro Martínez. The Polish midfielder opened the scoring in the 16th minute with a spectacular first-time volley from the edge of the box, connecting perfectly with Calhanoglu’s corner delivery.
The goal seemed to put the game in Inter’s control, but Verona refused to fold. The hosts grew into the match, with Orban and Giovane leading the charge.
