Luciano Spalletti starts his Juventus tenure with a win as goals from Kostic and Cambiaso secure all three points at the Zini. Vardy’s late strike brings drama, but the Bianconeri hold firm to claim back-to-back victories.
A new era began in style for Juventus. In Luciano Spalletti’s first match in charge, the Bianconeri earned a 2-1 away win over Cremonese — a performance built on intensity, width, and the decisive contributions of their two wing-backs.
The visitors needed just two minutes to break the deadlock: Openda’s clever backheel found Kostic, who capitalized on a defensive lapse by Vandeputte to score from close range. Juventus dominated much of the first half and went close to doubling the lead when Locatelli struck the post from distance, but Audero’s saves kept the hosts in it.
Cremonese showed greater spirit after the break, pressing higher and testing Di Gregorio with long-range efforts, but Juventus struck again in the 68th minute. A low cross from Conceição was only half-cleared, and Andrea Cambiaso pounced with a precise left-footed shot to make it 2-0.
The game seemed over, but Jamie Vardy had other ideas. The veteran striker latched onto a long ball from Johnsen, outmuscled Gatti, and coolly beat Di Gregorio to give Cremonese hope with seven minutes left. Davide Nicola’s side pushed hard in the closing stages, yet Juventus managed the final moments with composure — sealing a valuable debut win for Spalletti.
