Juventus return to winning ways with a solid home performance. Zaniolo’s equalizer gave Udinese brief hope, but Gatti’s header and a late Yildiz penalty secure all three points for Brambilla’s side.
Juventus earned an important 3-1 win over Udinese at the Allianz Stadium, overcoming a resilient opponent to stay in touch with the Serie A frontrunners. A brace of penalties — one at the start and one at the end — proved decisive, while Gatti’s second-half header put the game out of reach.
It took only five minutes for the Bianconeri to strike first: Dusan Vlahovic converted from the spot after Goglichidze fouled inside the box. The Serbian striker then came close to doubling the lead shortly after, narrowly missing the target on a through ball for Openda.
Udinese gradually grew into the game and found their equalizer just before halftime. Nicolò Zaniolo controlled a loose ball in the box and placed it perfectly into the far corner, leveling the match and giving Runjaic’s men momentum heading into the break.
After the restart, Udinese threatened through set pieces, with Goglichidze twice going close, but Juventus regained control. Around the hour mark, Di Gregorio made key saves to keep the hosts level, and moments later, Gatti rose highest to head in the 2-1 goal from a corner.
Juventus pressed for a third as Yildiz hit the post with a low strike, before sealing the result in stoppage time with another penalty — again won from a Goglichidze foul and calmly converted by Yildiz himself.
Despite Udinese’s spirited display, their defensive mistakes proved costly. Juventus, meanwhile, showed composure and depth, moving up the table with a much-needed home victory.
