Bologna continue their impressive run under Vincenzo Italiano, claiming three vital points in Sardinia thanks to goals from Emil Holm and Riccardo Orsolini.
Bologna’s steady climb toward the top of Serie A shows no sign of slowing down. With a 2–0 away win over Cagliari at the Unipol Domus, Vincenzo Italiano’s side leapfrogged Juventus in the table and moved within touching distance of the league leaders after Roma and Napoli both slipped earlier in the weekend.
The visitors were sharp and organized from the start, showing why they’ve become one of Serie A’s most consistent teams in recent seasons. The breakthrough came in the 31st minute when Emil Holm reacted quickest inside the box, converting a clever header assist from Odgaard to make it 1–0.
Cagliari, coached by Fabio Pisacane, showed promise early on and came close to equalizing before halftime — Felici’s powerful shot forced an incredible reflex save from Ravaglia, who preserved Bologna’s lead with one of the match’s defining moments.
Bologna continued to control the tempo after the break, with Ferguson and Bernardeschi orchestrating the play, while the defense — led by Vitik and Heggem — comfortably held off Cagliari’s attempts to find a way back into the match.
As the game entered its final stages, Riccardo Orsolini once again made the difference. Coming off the bench, the Italian winger sealed the victory in the 80th minute with a trademark left-footed strike into the top corner — his fifth goal of the season, making him Serie A’s current top scorer.
With four consecutive positive results and eleven goals scored so far, Bologna are confirming their status as a new powerhouse in Italian football.
