Rossoneri claim third straight victory as Pulisic shines, Rabiot impresses, and Udinese suffer first defeat of the season.
AC Milan secured their third consecutive win in Serie A with a convincing 3-0 victory away to Udinese, powered by a brace from Christian Pulisic and a goal from Youssouf Fofana. The Rossoneri have now kept three consecutive clean sheets after their opening-day loss to Cremonese.
Milan took full control of the match from the start, with Luka Modric and Adrien Rabiot dictating the tempo in midfield. Udinese, who had stunned Inter at San Siro last week, struggled to find their rhythm and were undone by defensive errors and shaky goalkeeping from Romanian keeper Sava.
The breakthrough came in the 39th minute when Pulisic pounced on a poor clearance from Kristensen to slot home past Sava. Just after the break, Fofana doubled Milan’s lead, taking advantage of a hesitant Udinese defense. Pulisic then sealed the win with his second of the match, once again catching Sava at his near post.
With the game comfortably in hand, Milan coach Landucci – standing in for the suspended Massimiliano Allegri – handed minutes to Nkunku and gave a debut to youngster Athekame.
For Udinese, it was a reality check after their promising start, as coach Runjaic will now have to regroup his team ahead of the next fixture.
