Napoli take control at the Franchi with an early penalty from De Bruyne and first goals for Hojlund and Beukema. Ranieri scores late, but it’s not enough for Fiorentina.
Napoli produced their best display yet under Antonio Conte, claiming a convincing 3-1 victory over Fiorentina at the Stadio Artemio Franchi. With the Champions League on the horizon, the reigning Serie A champions sent a strong message of intent, combining intensity, tactical discipline, and clinical finishing.
The visitors struck early. Just six minutes in, referee Zufferli awarded Napoli a penalty after Comuzzo brought down Anguissa inside the box. Kevin De Bruyne stepped up and calmly converted, scoring his first goal for the club and immediately setting the tone.
Napoli doubled their lead only eight minutes later. Spinazzola played a perfectly weighted through ball to Hojlund, who held off Pongracic and slotted a composed finish past De Gea to make it 2-0.
Conte’s side continued to dominate, suffocating Fiorentina’s attack and dictating the tempo. Six minutes into the second half, they effectively sealed the win when Anguissa set up Beukema, who scored his first goal in a Napoli shirt to put the match out of reach.
With ten minutes remaining, Fiorentina managed to pull one back through Ranieri, who finished well from inside the box. The Viola pushed forward late, creating two big chances through Piccoli and Gosens, but they couldn’t find another breakthrough.
Napoli held firm in the closing moments, securing all three points to stay top of the table with a perfect record.
