Como 1907 is pleased to announce that Captain Lucas Da Cunha signed a new contract with the club until 2031. Since he arrived on the shores of Lake Como in January 2023, Lucas collected 129 appearances, scoring 20 goals and providing 15 assists between Serie B, Coppa Italia and Serie A.
Lucas, one of the longest players in the rose, grew up with the club and played an important role in its recent history. He contributed to the return of Como in Serie A after 21 years and, after being appointed captain last season, led the team on the path that secured the club the first historic qualifying for the UEFA Champions League in May 2026.
Commenting on the renewal of the contract, Lucas appeared happy: ”In Como I grew up as a person and as a footballer, finding a family before even finding a team. The promotion in Serie A and the dream of the Champions League are not a point of arrival, but the drive to want more and more. I am very happy to have renewed with this shirt and I look forward to continuing this journey all together: team, club and fans. ”
