Two goals from Calhanoglu and a late strike by Sucic complete a dramatic turnaround, sending Inter into the Coppa Italia final after a thrilling clash at San Siro.
Inter produced a remarkable comeback to defeat Como 3-2 and book their place in the Coppa Italia final, overturning a two-goal deficit in a dramatic second half at San Siro.
For long stretches, it looked like Cesc Fàbregas’ Como would pull off a historic upset. Instead, Cristian Chivu’s side showed resilience and attacking quality to keep their double ambitions alive.
Como Shock Inter with Two-Goal Lead
The match started at a high tempo, with early chances on both sides. Inter threatened first through Piotr Zielinski, while Como responded with Martin Baturina, who tested Josep Martínez.
Como’s pressure paid off in the 32nd minute when Baturina finished a well-worked move initiated by Maximilian van der Brempt, giving the visitors a deserved lead.
After the break, Como struck again. A defensive error from Francesco Acerbi allowed Lucas Da Cunha, set up by Nico Paz, to calmly slot home and make it 2-0.
Calhanoglu Sparks the Comeback
With Inter struggling and time running out, Hakan Calhanoglu stepped up.
In the 69th minute, the Turkish midfielder fired a precise shot from the edge of the box to bring Inter back into the game. Moments later, Como nearly restored their cushion, but Martínez produced a crucial save to deny Diao in a one-on-one.
Late Drama Sends Inter Through
The final minutes delivered pure drama. In the 86th minute, Calhanoglu struck again, heading home from close range to level the score.
Then, just before full time, substitute Petar Sucic completed the turnaround. Reacting quickly inside the box, he controlled and fired past the goalkeeper to make it 3-2 and send San Siro into celebration.
Inter advance to the Coppa Italia final, where they will face either Lazio or Atalanta, while Como exit the competition with pride after a courageous performance.
