Caqueret controls midfield while Carlos Augusto saves Inter in a tense first leg that will be decided at San Siro.
Como 1907 and FC Internazionale Milano played out a tense but largely uneventful 0-0 draw in the first leg of their semifinal clash in the Coppa Italia.
With few clear chances and long stretches dominated by midfield battles, the tie now heads to San Siro completely open.
Como Control Possession
Cesc Fabregas’ side enjoyed the better control for much of the first half, dictating tempo through Maxence Caqueret, who stood out with his composure and precision in possession.
The best opportunity of the opening period came from an Inter defensive lapse. After a mistake by Bisseck, Vojvoda found himself one-on-one with Josep Martinez, but Carlos Augusto produced a crucial last-ditch block to keep the score level.
The intervention proved decisive in a half otherwise short on attacking sparks.
Missed Chance After the Break
The match briefly came alive early in the second half.
First, Inter nearly stole the lead when Matteo Darmian struck the inside of the post from a tight angle near the byline. Moments later, Como were gifted a golden opportunity.
Valle found himself completely unmarked inside the six-yard box, but with the goal at his mercy he miskicked with his weaker foot and somehow sent the ball wide — a miss that could loom large with the return leg approaching.
Attackers Struggle to Impress
Despite several substitutions, neither side found a breakthrough in the final half hour. Inter’s attacking duo of Pio Esposito and Diouf struggled to build chemistry and rarely troubled the Como defense.
Jacobo Ramón impressed at the back for Como, showing maturity beyond his years while dealing effectively with both Esposito and, later, Marcus Thuram.
Ultimately, neither team found the decisive moment. With the scoreline still level, everything will now be decided in the return leg at San Siro.
