Di Gregorio’s costly error sets the tone, Yildiz fights alone, and COMO strike twice to hand JUVENTUS their first home defeat of the season.
Serie A Matchday 26 delivered another major upset as Como stunned Juventus 2-0 at the Allianz Stadium.
It was JUVENTUS’ fourth defeat in their last five league matches and their first home loss of the season, a result that could further complicate their pursuit of a top-four finish. COMO, meanwhile, move to within one point of the Bianconeri after completing a season double.
First Half: Di Gregorio’s Error, Como Strike
JUVENTUS started brightly, with Kenan Yildiz attempting to spark the attack from distance. But as has happened too often this season, the hosts conceded at the first real opportunity.
A relatively tame effort from Mërgim Vojvoda slipped through the grasp of Michele Di Gregorio, whose left-handed attempt to stop it proved insufficient. The mistake handed COMO a 1-0 lead inside 11 minutes.
The Bianconeri nearly responded through Openda, whose delicate chip failed to beat Jean Butez, while Lucas Da Cunha came close to doubling the advantage, denied only by the crossbar after a dangerous horizontal touch from Koopmeiners.
Second Half: Caqueret Seals It
Spalletti made changes at halftime, but the rhythm did not improve. COMO remained compact and dangerous on the counter, even after losing Baturina to injury.
The decisive blow came in the 61st minute. A perfectly executed counterattack saw Da Cunha thread a precise assist into the path of Maxence Caqueret, who finished calmly to make it 2-0.
JUVENTUS pushed late on, with Koopmeiners striking the post from a free kick, but the comeback never materialized. Locatelli’s booking—ruling him out of the clash with Roma—compounded a bleak evening, while Yildiz limped off with a calf issue.
COMO managed the closing stages with composure, securing a statement win that leaves JUVENTUS’ Champions League hopes hanging in the balance.
